Ko Fred Renata Maynard ahau.
They tell me that I'm the Radio Station Manager but I still have to prove that I am because everybody else tells me what should happen in the station.
I got into Iwi Radio because of the personnel passion I like many others have for Maori Radio. We the "idiots" like Mini, Hone, Hana, Betty, Debbie, Te Maumako, Len, Mike, Kapoi, Geoff, Bernie, Tame, Willie, Bully, John, Cyril and Graham, never the less, one day somebody might thank us for the good work we do.
Working in the radio industry with these people has been the major highlight in my career including working with the old "fart" Henare.
I like most foods and music but Freddy Fender has to be my favourite singer.
My interests are wide and varied. I love watching any sport but I will put everything aside to spend time with my moko's, they are the treasures of my wife and I.

Ko Taranaki te Maunga. Ko Taungatara te Awa. Ko Araukuku te Hapu. Ko Ngati Ruanui te Iwi.
Ko Lindsay Rangimaakawe Henare toku ingoa. Na reira e mihi Whanui ki a koutou katoa.
Host of the very popular Sunday Request Show “ Turanga Health Kaumatua Iwi Connection” which is picked up by Iwi Stations from the top of New Zealand to the bottom of the country.
Being a full time bus driver for the pass 18 years and a part time radio announcer since 1996 has been something that Lindsay has enjoyed immensely. As a driver and tour guide he has met many people of different cultures and this has carried through into his popular radio shows, which he began in Wellington and now broadcasts from Turanganui A Kiwa.
During his spare time he would visit the local Iwi Station in Wellington, Te Upoko O Te Ika and after one such visit the Manager asked him if he would like to host a Saturday night radio show. Lindsay agreed and he began a 3-hour show that was soon increased to 6 hours a night, expanded to include Sunday night and then both shows were broadcasted nationwide the following year.
The Show has been cut back to be broadcasted on Sunday Nights only and began here in Te Reo Irirangi O Turanganui A Kiwa in October 2002.
